Product description

MINIASTRO GPS is an astronomical time switch with GPS technology, which makes it easy to detect and configure the coordinates of the installation automatically and precisely, as well as the constant clock synchronization.

The astronomical calculation from the exact coordinates with an accuracy of minutes from the coordinates detected by GPS positioning guarantees maximum precision in the daily switching on and off of lighting installations, as determined in RD 1890/2008 on Energy Efficiency in Outdoor Lighting.

Furthermore, this precision in the astronomical calculation allows delays in switching on and advances in switching off outdoor lighting to benefit as much as possible from the daily light, obtaining greater energy savings.

The constant synchronization of the internal clock based on the time provided by the GPS satellites avoids the drift that occurs in the clocks fundamentally due to the influence of external factors such as temperature, avoiding the maintenance costs of setting the period and guaranteeing the precision of the ignitions.

Regarding the rest of the functionalities, it maintains the main ones of the MINIASTRO astronomical time switch and which makes it very suitable for compliance with the RD 1890/2008 mentioned above, such as the control output for the saving system and the independent output for lighting ornamental or festive.

It also allows the requirements of creating special programming for tourist or festive times, as well as for singular acts. Besides, it allows the execution of on and off cycles through a daily, weekly, monthly or annual schedule.
