RDRM25/1 is a differential protection relay which incorporates a toroidal transformer that allows automatic reconnection of the installation in case the ground fault disappears.

This equipment has been specially designed for those public lighting applications where actions of the maintenance service to re-assemble the differential relays are frequent.

Features

• In one sole piece of equipment, we dispose of a differential transformer and a trigger relay.
• Automatic lighting reconnection without the necessity of actions from maintenance service.
• If the fault continues, the relay locks itself until trying automatically again or else the next day when public lighting is switched on again.

Operating Mode

If a fault occurs, the differential relay disconnects the contactor and activates the fault led.

Then it tries to reconnect after 2 minutes, and if the leak persists, the contactor disconnects itself again. The next reconnection it will try will be after 4 min, and if the leak persists, it will then try every 6 min again. Up to a maximum of 29. After these 31 attempts, which will be after 180 minutes, if the leak still exists, the relay locks itself, leaving the contactor disconnected.

RDRM25/1 will try to reconnect after complying with one of the following conditions:

• Pressing the Reset key.
• Restart the lighting installation manually or automatically restart it the next day.
